You will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada and drive to Luxor by air-conditioned deluxe vehicle (almost 04:00 hours drive) to visit the famous Karnak Temple the largest religious building ever constructed. Karnak Temple was known in ancient Egyptians as Ipet-isu “most select of places”. It is a city of temples built over 2,000 years. Enjoy walking along the avenue of sphinxes, the obelisks, see the awesome Hypostyle Hall, housing 134 columns then walk to see the great scarab beetle next to the sacred lake.
Enjoy your Lunch at a good quality local restaurant, move on to visit the West Bank of the river Nile, you will have a brief photo stop at the colossi of Memnon, marks the site of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III.
Then you will visit the Valley of the Kings, the burial place of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs, these richly decorated tombs used as burial site during the new kingdom (1550 – 1080 BC). Visit 3 of the most well preserved tombs with high achievements in art and culture. Whilst here, you can visit Tutankhamun and Ramses 6 tomb (extra ticket on spot).
Continue to explore the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. Hatshepsuit was the first female who ruled Egypt as a pharaoh for more than 22 years. Here mortuary temple at the bottom of al Qurn mountain cliff, is one of the most beautiful temples in Egypt.
You will have the chance to enjoy some free time at leisure in Luxor for shopping at the originals papyrus institutes and the alabaster factory and then you will be driven back to your hotel in Hurghada.
